Road-STEAMer Real-Life Use-Cases
Discover the STEAM criteria application in real life
About this assembly
The Road-STEAMer project uses "Real-Life Use Cases" (RLUC) to demonstrate STEAM practices in real-world education. These cases explore how STEAM can tackle societal challenges, connect learning to practical contexts, and develop essential student skills.
In the Road-STEAMer project, RLUCs are practical examples demonstrating how STEAM practices are applied in real-world educational settings. These use cases are designed to explore the potential of STEAM education to address societal challenges, connect learning to real-life contexts, and provide students with critical skills for the future. Through participatory workshops, the project investigated various RLUCs, analyzing factors such as the conditions needed for effective delivery, the skills required by educators, and the holistic development of students' skills.
The project’s workshops focused on embedding STEAM principles, including collaboration, creativity, real-world relevance, and inclusion, within these cases. This approach allows educators to leverage interdisciplinary and creative teaching methods, making STEAM education both practical and impactful in diverse learning environments.
Five (5) workshops have been organized, four (4) online and one (1) in-person, two (2) of which were part of the larger STEAM-related events.
Purpose of action
To reflect on the "Real-Life Use Cases" (RLUC), practical examples demonstrating how STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) practices are applied in real-world educational settings and to share experiences about how further improvements can be made. These use cases are designed to explore the potential of STEAM education to address societal challenges, connect learning to real-life contexts, and provide students with critical skills for the future.
