The OTTER Project
Taking education to the next level
Über dieses Gremium
The OTTER project serves to connect experts in diverse fields, bringing together educators, scientists and creatives to co-design new Education Outside the Classroom experiences. With OTTER we aim to make Education Outside the Classroom more popular. And, together with passionate educators, we hope for students to improve their scientific knowledge, get closer to STEAM subjects and become better citizens.
The OTTER project focuses on an EU-funded initiative to advance “Education Outside the Classroom” (EOC), blending environmental awareness with practical STE(A)M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning. It includes outdoor learning resources, a digital hub, and toolkits tailored to support sustainable, hands-on learning experiences in nature. Aimed at educators and students, the project promotes scientific citizenship and ecological responsibility by integrating real-world environmental contexts into the curriculum.
Zweck der Aktion
The OTTER project’s main goal is to increase environmental awareness and sustainable practices through “Education Outside the Classroom” (EOC) in STEAM fields. By providing outdoor learning resources and hands-on tools, it aims to help students gain ecological knowledge, foster scientific inquiry, and become active citizens in environmental conservation. This initiative targets educators, equipping them with innovative methods to integrate sustainability and real-world environmental issues into their teaching practices.
